I know that some of us suffered losses of dear ones but there is always a reason for that loss even if at the time we can't see it.
We have had an eventful year. Dave, Hope's husband is driving truck for a living. He goes all across the country sometimes. This is a new venture for him and I am proud of what he is doing to support his family (Hope and children).
Hope had a fifth year anniversary for being clean and sober. We all almost forgot about it as we just don't remind her of those things. She is doing so well. She is working at Best Buy in Menifee, CA. It is only part-time but she is working.
The children, especially Lauri and Eric have kept everyone busy with Choir. Then Lauri is in Color Guard and has been in a play. Lauri has a part in the King and I play for this spring at the high school. I think that is great. Eric is planning and getting things going for college, that too is great. Patrick rides his bicycle back and forth to school with his friends in the neighborhood. That is the safest way for him to get there without being driven. They all have helmets and all stay together.
Now, as to Butch and I, we are just being ourselves and trying to help as much as we can with what we can. We have adopted a young Chinese woman as our daughter, and her two children. We babysit for her kids as Johnnie has some emotional problems and his sister Breanna is only 8 so Man Ying really needs someone to look out for them. They are for the most pretty good kids and Man Ying(Kelley) is a really hard worker. She shows us nothing but respect her kids the same except Breanna but she is learning. We love them both very much just as if they were our own grandkids.
The loss of George was really unexpected and he is missed by all very much. Life can seem so cruel at times. I am not really sure what the new year will bring but it seems it must be better than the year before or at least that is what I pray for.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a Happy New Year!!!!!
